The Doctor smiles gently in response to her enthusiasm, but--despite himself--grows thoughtful. His smile falters slightly, but he tries not to let it show. It's wonderful, really, holding her--all of this. But once again, his mind betrays him as he lets thoughts proliferate, going directions he wishes them not to.

Knowing he's grown quiet, he simply holds her a bit more tightly, closing his eyes as he buries his face in her hair.
