"Good to know," I whisper back, making sure she's comfortable. "I love you, too, Sarah Jane Smith."
I kiss her lightly on the lips and begin to hum, very quietly. It starts out tuneless, then becomes a lullaby. Something I recall from my childhood.
Ah, the memories that service when there are little ones pending.
