It was only mildly creepy, really, the way the mermaid suddenly started to talk. Sarah bit her lip and studied it for a moment. This could be an opportunity. A really good opportunity.

"Do you know what a reporter is?"

"No."

"What about a girlfriend?"

"No."

"Or that he's mine?"

This time, the mermaid scowled. "No way! Mine."
