[Milliways] OOM: Flat 007

It's nearly midnight according to the clock in their room. It's nearly midnight and that means that, at least in Milliways, it is nearly James' birthday. And after the week they've had, there's nothing in the universe that can stop Sarah Jane from celebrating this day.

She had kicked him out of the room a couple of hours ago, claiming that packing can be finished in the morning and that she needed time to rest. Truth is though, she's been busy decorating their room with brightly coloured streamers Bar provided, blue and silver and yellow. There are a few balloons scattered around, and a small cake on the desk next to a wrapped package and a card.

Sarah takes a moment to check her appearance in the mirror, smiling at her choice of dress (short, flattering, and blue) and her done up hair and make up. Nothing can hide the fading marks or gauze on her face, but that's okay.

Tonight's not about remembering the past, but celebrating the future.

Sarah breaks the liplock for a moment to stare up at his face, breathless. Her hand runs through his hair quickly and she smiles, feeling wonderously safe and loved pinned underneath him.

He smiles back at her, just as warm and as loving, as his hand reaches for the nightstand next to the bed. He lowers his head to kiss her tenderly.

And she kisses James back just as tenderly, careful not to deepen the kiss into anything that suggests more until everything is in place and their passion can't get the better of them.

Soon enough everything is in place, with James, surprisingly, not requesting Sarah Jane's help to put the condom on. James initiates the new level of passion himself. As always, he's rather impatient to get to the sex.

Of course he is. Sarah doesn't remember her past lovers ever being this impatient, but she doesn't mind.

She never minds much when it comes to James and lovemaking and quickly enough, coherent thought is lost except for his name moaned repeatedly as she loses herself in his arms.

With all the new tricks she's learned and with all the practice she's had, it's no surprise that James begins to lose it quickly, too, throwing himself into the act with abandon, his mind far away, thoughts scrambled, his consciousness a slave to this moment.

It's a moment that could last forever for all Sarah Jane cares.

But the moment is fleeting just like all the others, and it's not long before she's settled in his arms and the comforter is draped over their nude bodies as she listens to the calming beat of his heart.
