The door had been left opened a crack so that she could hear when James returned, but with the water running, Sarah remained rather deaf to the rest of the world.
She slips quietly out of her clothing, folding everything into a small pile placed in the hamper. Before turning off the water, Sarah dims the lights to the room. That all done, she finally slips beneath the surface and bubbles, sighing at the feel of the cool water against her skin.
