The Doctor shifted a bit, himself awakened by the sun. As he started to come to tentative awareness, he noticed Sarah's movement as well. He couldn't help smiling to himself.
Last night had been equal parts terrifying and wonderful. He was sure he'd been quite clumsy about the whole thing, but he could only hope Sarah was still happy, despite his likely numerous mistakes.
He didn't want to open his eyes just yet, he was content to simply feel. But he brought his arm more tightly against Sarah, nuzzling into her neck as he sighed contentedly.
