1: She hadn't meant for this to happen. At age thirty-four, Sarah Jane believed herself incapable of being kidnapped anymore. Yet, it had turned out that Hugo Drax had not been as reformed as he had claimed to be. Like most villains in a B-movie plot, he wanted revenge for the couple who had prevented his attempt at the destruction of London. This time, he planned to let Sarah have the front row seat inside the rocket. Never in her life had she been more grateful for the Doctor's gift of sonic lipstick.

Sarah laughed when she saw the look of surprise on James' face as she stepped outside the rocket. He was mildly battered, clearly having been in a fight with Drax. She put a careful hand on his cheek. He gripped her waist tightly and Sarah was certain she wouldn't get him to let go of her any time soon.

"Next time," she promised. "You can be my knight in shining armour next time. But every once in a while, I do prefer to save myself."

In response, he only kissed her soundly, blood mixing with saliva and neither caring a bit.

2: He hadn't wanted her to tag along, but Sarah had insisted. Valerie had been left with a friend rather than their typical nanny, someone who would understand if neither came home exactly when promised. It was a typical safety catch they tended to use whenever his wife insisted in aiding him with his job.

He had never liked it one bit.

But as the silent struggle was shattered by the echo of a gun shot ringing in the hall, immediately, James felt grateful. The bullet impacted with the henchman's leg, sending him sprawling to the ground. Blofeld's man screamed in agony, especially after receiving a rough kick to the wound, followed by a throwing punch that delivered unconsciousness.

They had just enough time now to stop the arms trade. He flashed her a cocky grin as she ran over, gun in hand and hair flying. She looked beautiful. Weary, but beautiful. It wasn't for the first time that he realised that he had married the right girl. He was certain that it wouldn't be the last.

3: She didn't know why she had been worried that married life would be utterly dull. Less than two months after Valerie's birth, and Sarah Jane was already chasing after her first real scoop in his world. It wasn't aliens or crazed monks, but it was a rather juicy scoop on a rogue think tank -- similar, but not entirely, to those she had encountered before.

So Sarah had left a note: Out chasing a story, be back shortly, darlings. Unfortunately, it was a note left three days ago and so far, rescue seemed no where to be found. She had tried everything: reasoning, manipulating, even brute force. But these people were wily -- after her third escape attempt, they had taken to drugging her instead. Being Sarah Jane Smith-Bond meant that she had become a valuable captive to influence one of MI-6's best agent. No matter what, she simply couldn't escape on her.

An explosion down the hall woke her from her semi-conscious state. It was a familiar enough sort of racket, one that she had only seen in movies and never experienced first hand. It wasn't quiet like one of the Doctor's rescues would have been. But the kiss she received was far more worth it in the end.
