[Milliways] OOM: Flat 007

Everything looks set to Sarah Jane as she stands in the living room of her Milliways flat. An old blanket has been spread across the floor in front of her. On it rests a small box (turned upside down as a makeshift table) and a collection of various arts and crafts supply that she purchased from Bar a few days ago. It's not hard to miss all the crayons or markers or stickers or glitter or glue or paper. Not too far away in the kitchen is a pitcher of milk and some chocolate chip cookies - the cookies also Bar provided.

This should be everything, she thinks to herself for the umpteenth time, also vaguely wondering why she's gone to all this effort in the first place. Sarah has never been fond of children, but something about this girl has seemed to charm her. Now, all she needs is for Allana to show up. Hopefully, she would have received the note left with Bar and found her way here.

Allana giggles at her tongue sticking-outtage and makes a face back to her.

It involves fingers in ears.

"A wug full of cwumbs bweings bugs." She says solemnly.

"Which he wouldn't like at all," she declares, chuckling herself. "Now come on, finish up."

Allana crams a few cookies in her mouth and drinks some more milk. "All done!"

She really doesn't mean to laugh at the child, but she can't help it. Sarah laughs brightly, shaking her head as the cookies seemed to have magically disappeared from the table.

"That was certainly fast," she remarks, still grinning. "Ready to make some invitations then?"

"Yes ma'am." SHe nods, wiping her face off with the back of her hand.

Sarah frowns slightly. "Perhaps a trip to the washcloset might be the first thing. Wiping your face like that doesn't make any sort of difference."

She points to a door nearby the kitchen. "In there, all right? You'll be able to clean up properly while I clear the table."

"It was just some cwumbs." She sighs before standing and going to the 'fresher.

Once done, she skips out and comes to sit near Sarah once more.

Cleaning up the dishes had been easy enough and by the time Allana came back, Sarah is in the living room sitting on the edge of a blanket. She waves at Allana and waits for the child to come over before gesturing to everything in front of her.

"I didn't know what you liked, so I asked Bar for a little bit of everything," she explains. "I wasn't very artistic when I was your age, you see. I much preferred sports."

"Hmm." She says. "I fink we should just make them however we want. Each one can be special."

"I like that," she replies, reaching forward to grab a piece of paper.

It really isn't hard to guess who Sarah's first invitation is going to be for.

Allana tucks her curly hair behind her ear and carefully puts star shaped stickers on the corners of the invitation she's making. "If I decowate mines, will you wite it? I can't. I don't know how. And...most of these people don't understand Aurebesh anyways."

Sarah nods as she finishes drawing a heart on the folded paper. "It would be my pleasure, Miss Allana."

"I can wite my name." She says, after a moment. "And Mama. Those are easy. S'just aurek leth leth aurek nern aurek, for me."

She hums slightly, taking a marker and colouring lines from each star to another.

"Or A-L-L-A-N-A in English," Sarah says slowly, writing out each letter with a blue crayon on another piece of paper. "That would be your name in my alphabet."

She repeats it to herself and nods. "Cool."

Sarah nods. "And this is my name."

In block letters, she prints out 'Sarah Jane' on the paper.

"Sawah Jane." She nods. "I'll figure out what it is in aurebesh later."

"I'd like to see it someday, if you can."

She smiles quickly before turning her attention back to the invitation. So far the hearts are the only things on it. There clearly needs to be something more.

"Sure." She nods, going back to her own invitations too.

She draws a circle and colours it in, in a corner.

The door opens, and a male intruder walks in!


Except not. This male intruder is just Mr. Bond walking in to something he didn't expect to see today.

"--hello, girls."

Sarah beams at the sound of the door opening, looking up from the rather silly looking invitation to wave. Smirking, "Well, I didn't expect you back for at least another hour. Have you met Allana at all?"

"Can't say that I have." James shifts his focus towards Allana, the charming little girl next to Sarah, and offers an equally charming smile. "Hello."

Allana bites down on her lip.

James Bond is one handsome looking guy. She's going to tell him so. "You're vewy handsome," she says solemnly before standing and curtsying like a good little princess. "It's a pweasure to meet you."

He chuckles and makes a little bow. "Thank you. It's a pleasure to meet you as well." He peers over their creations. "Planning a party?"

"A tea party," Sarah fills in as she hides James' invitation underneath a new piece of paper. "I told Allana it would be much more fun to make invitations rather than buy them."
